“What happened this time, though, was it didn’t dissipate, and that’s why when I got off the road on Friday, I did go to see my doctor, and that’s when I was diagnosed with pneumonia“, Clinton said. Her campaign initially claimed Clinton had overheated, before revealing she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday (9 September).

“Oh, my goodness, Anderson”, she replied.

Trump said Clinton showed her true beliefs when she made the comment at a NY fundraiser. “She does have apparently pneumonia that she is being treated for, is expected to recover fully”. Bardack detailed how Clinton had to undergo “anticoagulation therapy” to dissolve a clot, and experienced “double vision for a period of time”, after the concussion. He believes her illness is a non-factor and age is just a number. She added: “Like anyone who’s ever been home sick from work, I’m just anxious to get back out there”.

Rose noted that, looking at the video, “you wonder if it is not more serious than dehydration”.

Hillary also revealed that she was feeling a lot better now and that she had been ordered by her doctor to rest for a while. “And she has worked like a demon, as you know, as secretary of State, and as a senator, and in the years since”.

“And she had 2 1/2 hard days before the day when she got dizzy”, he replied.

Bill said Hillary “looked like a million bucks” the morning after. “It lasts a couple days, and then it disappears”. This was her first interview, after she fell ill during a 9/11 memorial ceremony in NY.

Asked if she passed out, Clinton said she did not. “Deplorable is not one of them, I reassure you”, said one woman at an evening rally in Asheville, N.C.

“If it happens to you and you’re a busy, active person, you just keep moving forward”, she told CNN. And I could, you know, feel how hot and humid it was. “But it’s nearly always because of dehydration”.

But he also suggested the former secretary of state’s health issues were of longer standing than admitted. There is just nothing there. And unlike me, she sleeps well at night. But that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t rest.

The episode prompted Clinton’s campaign to promise that they would release additional medical records this week. Asked why that wasn’t done before, Bill responded, “I don’t know the answer to that”.
