Hillary Clinton interrupted by ‘Black Lives Matter’ protesters during speech

Hillary Rodham Clinton, shouting over protesters, promised black Americans Friday that she would address systemic racism and, if elected, follow in the footsteps of her predecessor, the country’s first black president.

Mrs Clinton has changed her position since she has been on the campaign trail, calling for the end of mass incarceration and expressing her concern over police violence and black people.

Johnetta Elzie, a prominent activist, tweeted Friday that Clinton was taking “baby steps towards addressing racial justice in a real way”, and that her efforts fell short of Sanders. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken the server Clinton used while secretary of state, along with other computer hardware belonging to her, to examine whether sensitive government information was mishandled, which can be a crime in a few circumstances, or exposed.

As secretary of State, Clinton advocated for a more aggressive US role in the Syrian conflict.

In Georgia, she’ll be joined Friday by Rep. John Lewis, the civil rights icon and veteran Atlanta congressman. Bernie Sanders, said through a spokesman that he has “concern about the United States being drawn into the quagmire of the Syrian civil war which could lead to perpetual warfare in that region”.

While State officials have been persistent in releasing Clinton’s emails, the White House doesn’t want all of them made public.

At the ILA union hall, Clinton credited unions with bringing fair working conditions and better wages that “raised hopes… and gave people a chance to have a better life”.

Jackson’s comments are meaningful given his longstanding ties to Clinton and Sanders, her chief rival.

Clinton framed the Emanuel slayings and the April killing of Walter Scott, a black man shot by a North Charleston police officer who has since been fired and charged with murder, as part of a trend. She requests her password for The New York Times website, searches for books and apologizes to old law school friends for being slow to reply to their emails.

A federal judge has ordered the State Department to publicly release all of Ms. Clinton’s emails from her four years as the nation’s top diplomat between 2009 and 2013 after a Vice News reporter sued the department under freedom of information laws.

In the first email dump since Clinton testified for more than ten hours before the House Benghazi committee, Clinton scolds her staff for putting together an “inadequate” timeline of her leadership on Libya in 2011.
