Yet while the statistics show a strong leaning towards the Republican candidate, the authors of the report say the data actually reveal that support for the Republican candidate is being driven, in part, by opposition to Clinton as much as confidence in Trump.

“Trade already benefits Indiana”, Pence said in a speech on the House floor in 2001, touting how NAFTA helped increase agricultural exports from the state.

The convention’s rules committee is dominated by Trump backers, as well as national and state GOP officials.

“I think it’s very positive news for the Trump campaign”, he begins.

Florida shows a less bleak picture, but nonetheless a steep hill for Trump to climb.

Mrs. Clinton’s biggest drawback remains questions about her honesty: Fully 72 percent said she is too willing to bend the rules, a week after FBI Director James Comey blasted her carelessness in using an unsecured server for State Department emails but declined to charge her. “We’re exhausted of having politicians in both parties in Washington, D.C., telling us we’ll get to those problems tomorrow”.

“If your name is in the mix, then you know obviously you don’t want to find out about it in the media, and Donald Trump knew that”, said Flynn.

Foes say they believe the movement is essentially finished.

As of now, Americans don’t really like the Republican Party.

“Bernie’s endorsement becomes Exhibit A in our rigged system – the Democrat Party is disenfranchising its voters to benefit the select and privileged few”, said Stephen Miller, a senior policy adviser to Mr. Trump.

Voters also say they trust Democrats more than Republicans on every health care issue surveyed.

More than half of Trump supporters – 54 percent – said that they had reservations about the real estate mogul, while 42 percent said they would vote for the Republican enthusiastically. Fifty-five percent of Americans say the word “honest” doesn’t describe Clinton well at all, up slightly from 50 percent in April and 44 percent in October 2015. As for Hillary Clinton, “a quarter of Democratic voters say they are disappointed in her as the nominee; an additional seven percent say they are upset”.

Unfavorable ratings of Clinton among Sanders supporters rose by a similar percentage in the same period. 40% of Democrats think she did “something wrong”. He said he was “proud to stand with her”. Two-thirds of religiously unaffiliated registered voters say they would vote for Clinton if the election were held today, just as two-thirds meant to vote for Obama at a similar point in the 2012 campaign.
