Donald Trump’s campaign is ending its practice of barring selected news outlets from covering the Republican presidential nominee’s events.
Respondents were evenly split between Clinton and Trump when asked “which presidential candidate do you believe will be better at keeping us safe?”.
The day before in swing state Ohio, Trump softened his stance on immigration while Clinton blasted Russian Federation for suspected tampering in the USA electoral process.
“We don’t come to this decision easily”, the editorial board wrote, noting that it’s been critical of Hillary Clinton’s “handling of certain issues in the past”. It’s still a far cry from the eight-point lead Clinton had back in mid-August, in the days following the Democratic National Convention.

Trump has been helped by what his campaign said was a positive week last week, highlighted by a quick trip to Mexico, appearing side by side with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, and a visit to a black church in Detroit. The other swing states are Florida, Pennsylvania and Virginia. They also criticized the real estate mogul’s economic policies, saying that “his protectionism would likely force the US into trade wars, increase the deficit, and sink the USA economy back into a recession”.
Trump’s address comes hours before his national security acumen is tested at a “commander in chief” forum on NBC that will also include Democrat Hillary Clinton.
As the old adage goes, no Republican since Abraham Lincoln has won the presidency without carrying OH, and no Democratic president has won the presidency while losing OH (with the exception of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy Jr.). At a joint press conference, Trump told reporters that payment of his proposed border wall was not discussed.
Furthermore, Trump’s courting of black voters may not be paying off in Southern states with large African-American populations.
Neither Clinton nor Trump has unveiled their schedules for Sunday.

Trump leads by more than four points in 20 states, but these add up to only 126 electoral college votes.
