However, not all Twitter maelstroms are created equal.

At the Democratic National Convention, as Clinton gave what’s been called the most important speech of her life, she aimed decidely pointed words at Trump.

“I don’t have a sense of humor about cyberterrorism”, Kaine said. Whether this social media activity will amount to a significant convention bump remains to be seen. This was a historic night, not just for Hillary, not just for the Democrats, but for the entire world.

“I sweat the details of policy”, she admitted. “We must seize this moment to elect Hillary Clinton as president of the United States of America”.

“Sometimes the people at this podium are new to the national stage”, she said.

Speaking on the final night of the party’s convention in Philadelphia, the first U.S. woman nominated by a major party said there were huge challenges.

Clinton began by thanking her friends, family and President Obama.

Citing the anti-establishment nature of the Sanders and Trump campaigns, one protester pointed out that, “for some people, Bernie is the person they stuck with, but there are some anti-establishment things they want, and they’ll go with Trump”.

I believe that our economy isn’t working the way it should because our democracy isn’t working the way it should.

“I just don’t know frankly how a person like this would be electable”, Trump said.

Already two women – former Vice President Joice Mujuru who leads the Zimbabwe People First, and Marceline Chikasha of the Zimbabwe African Democratic Party – are likely to contest the 2018 general election. Bernie Sanders for their input, but Clinton’s message was far from the extreme progressive values that overshadowed the beginning of the convention. “Let me ask you, have you even read the United States Constitution?”
