Hillary Clinton nets endorsement from Planned Parenthood
“There’s no question: Hillary Clinton holds the strongest record of reproductive rights of all presidential contenders in not just this election, but in American history”, the federally funded abortion provider boldly asserted in a statement posted on the website of the organization’s advocacy and political arm.

In its first presidential primary endorsement in its 100-year history, Planned Parenthood announced Thursday it would endorse Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. At a campaign event in August, she compared pro-lifers to terrorists.
“Everything Planned Parenthood has believed in and fought for over the past 100 years is on the ballot”, said Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood, according to The New York Times.
“Yesterday was a preview of what would happen under a Republican president”, Clinton wrote, citing House legislation passed Wednesday that would defund Planned Parenthood for one year.
An official endorsement announcement will be made Sunday in New Hampshire, the group said.
Katie Holmes endorses Hillary Clinton.
But GOP lawmakers want to halt any government money going even indirectly to Planned Parenthood organizations in Iowa – something Branstad has said he supports but would not break the law or invite legal action by arbitrarily denying the private provider government grant money without a legal cause of action.
In a September 20 interview with CBS’ Face the Nation moderator John Dickerson, Hillary Clinton revealed that she wouldn’t support a federal limit on abortion “at any state of pregnancy” in the name of a “woman’s right to choose”. She said she was exhausted of the attacks from pro-life Republicans who have been working overtime to try to de-fund the abortion corporation.
This is the second national women’s health group to back Clinton.
DES MOINES | Under pressure from pro-life conservatives, Gov. Terry Branstad says he will pursue policy language as part of his 2016 legislative agenda stipulating that taxpayer funds go only to women’s health care providers that do not include abortion procedures as part of their service options.

Clinton has always been an advocate of women’s issues and often expresses her support for pro-choice groups, including Planned Parenthood. While the 2016 presidential candidate once called the content of the recent videos exposing Planned Parenthood “disturbing”, she dismissed them as “misleadingly edited” to Dickerson.
