Both Florida and Virginia are considered swing states that could play a pivotal role in the outcome of the November election. “There’s a reason they don’t let her speak to people”, he said.
Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, has repeatedly accused Clinton of lacking the stamina for the White House.
On Tuesday, Trump received the support of 88 retired US generals and admirals, who endorsed his candidacy.
Trump and Clinton are the first New Yorkers to become their parties’ nominees for president since almost 3,000 people died in the September 11 attacks.
Tim Kaine, D-Va. speaks during a campaign rally in Wilmington, N.C., Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016.
A CNN/ORC poll Tuesday showed Trump, a brash real estate mogul running for his first elected office, edging ahead of Clinton, a former USA secretary of state, by a 45 to 43 percent margin, while a collection of polls compiled by realclearpolitics.com gives her about a 3-percentage-point advantage.
Clinton’s campaign is spending big to undercut Trump’s message in a new TV ad also released Tuesday entitled, “Sacrifice”.
“They’re keeping the rates down so that everything else doesn’t go down”, Trump said in response to a reporter’s request to address a potential rate hike by the Federal Reserve in September.
The poll, which finds Hillary Clinton maintaining a slight lead, is impressive in scale.
“Every time I think about Trump I get allergic”, she said while trying to catch her breath in Cleveland.
“His whole campaign has been one long insult to all those who have worn the uniform”, Clinton said on Tuesday in Tampa, just miles from MacDill Air Force Base, where 15,000 people work.
During his discussion of military health care, Trump – who is polling poorly among women voters – said he would focus on “female veterans” who are getting “left behind” by the system. They described her as relishing going after Trump on this topic because she feels she knows it well and he doesn’t.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation released a summary of its investigation last week that showed Clinton on numerous occasions could not recall specific circumstances in how she looked at the emails and did not recognize that the letter “C” designation meant the document was considered to be “confidential”, the lowest level of USA national security classifications, and instead thought it to be an alphabetical listing.
Clinton told a get-out-the-vote rally in Tampa, Florida, that she, not Trump, is best prepared to protect the US military serving overseas and take on Islamic State.
The Clinton campaign has released an ad showing some veterans watching some of Trump’s more belligerent statements, including his claim that he knows more about the Islamic State than generals do.

Clinton added, “I believe I have created so many jobs in the, sort of, conspiracy-theory machine factory”. Such surveys may result in inherent biases – they may have trouble reaching some groups that are less likely to be online, including older people and low-income voters – but as new data shows they have been largely in line with traditional polls, they have become more common.
