The Republican nominee said Schlafly was “there for me when it was not at all fashionable”.
He added that millions of Americans support the Republican nominee because, “they are sick of corrupt career politicians like Hillary Clinton”.
Clinton, meanwhile, repeated “it was a mistake” to have used a personal email account and server while leading the department, and that she would “certainly not do it again”.
That poll, from Suffolk University, also found almost half of the state’s voters think the Democrat will win the presidency.
“Tonight’s comments were more than another example of Clinton lying to the country about her emails, jeopardizing our national security, or even calling citizens ‘super-predators, ‘” Miller said in a statement late Friday.
Clinton, in making her “basket of deplorables” comment, seemed to acknowledge that she was about to oversimplify things.
The media are often prevented from attending Mrs Clinton’s fundraisers, but Friday’s event, which featured a performance from Barbara Streisand, had been open to journalists.
Romney, in comments unearthed from a closed-door fundraiser, cited 47 percent of people “who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe that government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it”. Almost 15 million people watched the event, and over 26 million tuned in at some point during the hour. He tweets and retweets their offensive hateful mean-spirited rhetoric. “But they are not America”.
Clinton, who said defeating ISIS would be her “highest terrorism goal”, spoke of using air power and regional alliances to defeat the group. “You should go out and see the doctor”, Trump said.
“Here is what I want you to really hear, because even I was shocked by this”. That may be one conversion therapy I endorse.
On Thursday, Trump said he would have voted against the war if he had been serving in Congress at the time.
The Clinton Foundation – which works to “deliver sustainable solutions that last and transforms communities” around the world – first came under fire when she was appointed US secretary of state. But reporters traveling with her campaign were not allowed in and did not see her. Merrill argued that “alt-right” leaders are supporting Trump and “their supporters appear to make up half his crowd when you observe the tone of his events”.
Asked to square his request for military options with his harsh criticism of the current crop of generals, Trump said simply: “They’ll probably be different generals”.
“Nick, it’s simply untrue”.

A Donald Trump supporter upset with the vandals who’ve been stealing his campaign signs has rigged up a shocking surprise for future thieves. Or better: “have Hillary apologize”, Conway wrote in a Twitter exchange with Clinton’s spokesman Saturday morning. The Democratic nominee urged voters to weigh her readiness to be president not based on one decision but “on the totality of my record”. By 9:30 a.m. EDT Saturday, the hashtag #BasketOfDeplorables produced 158,000 tweets since Clinton made the remarks.
