Trump’s children mocked Clinton further on Twitter, using trending hashtags like #basketofdeplorables to defend their father. There was even a mock account called “Hillary’s Basket”, with the handle @TheDeplorables, deriding the former first lady and U.S. senator.

Clinton’s doctor said later she had been diagnosed with pneumonia and prescribed antibiotics.

“This last week, I took a physical, and I’ll be releasing, when the numbers come in, hopefully they are going to be good”.

The ad uses video of Clinton’s appearance at an “LGBT for Hillary” fundraiser Friday night where she criticized Trump’s supporters.

Post-Labor Day, Trump had an opening to assure anxious Republicans that he is prepared – or at least adequately preparing – to be president.

“And, frankly, you know, I hope she gets well, and I hope she gets well soon”, Trump said. “There are what I call the deplorables – the racists, you know, the haters, and the people who are drawn because they think somehow he’s going to restore an America that no longer exists”. Polls tend to narrow as Election Day nears, and the Clinton campaign has struggled to overcome controversy about how she handled classified information while serving as secretary of state.

Trump, 70, fired back, first calling her comments “INSULTING” on Twitter and then issuing an angry statement.

Trump also expected to hammer Clinton over the “deplorables” line when he speaks in Baltimore on Monday afternoon, a campaign official said.

Clinton’s comments were followed by a concert by Streisand, who performed a version of the Stephen Sondheim song “Send in the Clowns” that parodied the NY businessman.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump had called his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton a “bigot” earlier once but could not back up this claim. “They are Americans, and they deserve your respect”, Pence added. In late August, the States of the Nation estimated that Clinton had a 95 percent chance of winning by an average of 108 electoral votes.

And in New Hampshire, which Obama also won in the last two presidential elections, Clinton leads Trump by one point, 42 percent to 41 percent (and they’re tied at 40 percent each among registered voters).

Trump told Fox News during an interview that health is now “an issue” in the 2016 campaign, pointing to his recent physical exam. “As I said, many of Trump’s supporters are hard-working Americans who just don’t feel like the economy or our political system are working for them”, Clinton said.

“So the hope is on a scale of 1 to 10 we’re on the 6 or 7 side” with Trump, he said. What a disgusting statement.

“She could walk into this arena right now and shoot somebody with 20,000 people watching, right smack in the middle of the heart and she wouldn’t be prosecuted”, he declared.

Ever since Clinton sustained a blood clot and a concussion after a fainting episode near the end of her tenure as secretary of state in 2012, she has faced a swirl of conspiracy theories about her health.

The comment was reminiscent of Trump’s January description of the loyalty of his supporters.
