Clinton’s 5-point lead is actually down from the 9-point advantage she enjoyed in the same poll in early August that reflected a post-convention bounce. And, writing in Vox, Andrew Prokop said recently that “There’s little historical evidence that they’ve ever swung polls by more than a few percentage points”. In Maine’s 2nd congressional district, Trump has a comfortable lead over Clinton, meaning that he will likely get at least one electoral vote from the Pine Tree State. “Thirty percent say they are with Donald Trump”, explained Steve Greenberg, head of the Siena Research Institute and spokesman for the latest public policy poll focused on NY voting trends this fall.
Trump called Holt a “professional” and said that he respected him, but he said that supporters of Clinton were “gaming the system” and “trying to intimidate” Lester into being tough on him.
As she has before, Clinton said she objects to what Trump says about others.
If Clinton’s victory is smaller, Democrats won’t make many gains.
Obama said to attendees of a Congressional Black Caucus dinner on Saturday that if blacks did not vote for Clinton, it would be an “insult” to his legacy.
Both presidential candidates had new poll numbers Tuesday that they could point to as momentum-changers. The billionaire comes out ahead of Clinton in terms of who they think would be best for their own investments-45 percent to 36 percent. In a head-to-head matchup, Clinton’s lead expands to 7 points over Trump, 48-41.
