The celebratory mood of this week’s Democratic convention spilled over into Friday as Clinton boarded her blue campaign bus, wrapped with the slogan “Stronger Together”, to open a three-day bus tour through the Rust Belt battlegrounds of Pennsylvania and Ohio.

The Nielsen company estimated that 29.8 million people watched Hillary Clinton’s acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday night on the commercial networks.

On day-four and the final night of the DNC revealed why Americans should sit up straight in their seats and take in the last two weeks of what messages was conveyed by each party committee.

The preliminary numbers are subject to revision as more information comes in.

Tim Kaine (D-VA) and his wife Anne Holton prepare to board a campaign bus with democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and husband former US president Bill Clinton after a campaign rally at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 29, 2016. “No one has worse judgement than Hillary Clinton-corruption and devastation follows her wherever she goes”.

Donald Trump has no political survival instincts.

“I’m from Indiana”, Carson said.

“It’s been a year and nobody has given me a reason why we should embrace a trade deal”, he said.

At the end of her speech, President Barack Obama offered his congratulations. “There is no other voice I would rather have spoken for all of us, and lead this country, than Hillary Clinton”.

Trump, who has never previously held office, portrays himself as the candidate of radical change – the outsider who will run the country like a business, restore jobs, cut the deficit and put America first.

“I want you to know, I’ve heard you”, she said.

It was a curious line given Trump’s frequent press conferences and the very few that Clinton has had.

“Hillary Clinton talks about unity, about E Pluribus Unum, but her globalist agenda denies American citizens the protections to which they are all entitled – tearing us apart”.

Donald Trump’s running mate, Mike Pence, is offering condolences after a San Diego police officer was killed and another injured in an early morning shooting.

Trump said in a press conference this week: “Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing”.

Manafort says Trump thinks America is great “but the American people don’t feel that the future is what they want it to be”.

And Trump’s comment Friday came just days after he said he “didn’t like” the saying and said it was “a shame” that his supporters were chanting it.
