“Mrs. Clinton is a healthy 67-year old female whose current medical conditions include hypothyroidism and seasonal pollen allergies”, wrote Dr. Lisa Bardack, Clinton’s doctor since 2001, in a health statement provided by Clinton’s campaign. Several hours later, her campaign revealed she had been diagnosed with pneumonia on Friday and advised to rest.

Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said in a statement that Clinton, who had spent 90 minutes at the event, was “feeling much better” afterward.

MORE has been ill with pneumonia, her doctor said Sunday evening in a statement.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton left a memorial for the victims of 9/11 early after suffering from what her campaign described as “overheating”.

Hillary Clinton says she’s “feeling great” after having to leave the 9/11 anniversary ceremony in NY feeling overheated.

Her campaign may well try to dismiss this story as nothing more than an isolated incident, meaning nothing. Her opponents have also raised questions about the effect of a concussion she sustained in 2012.

Will this quiet speculation about Clinton’s health, particularly amongst those who were certain the candidate was hiding a serious illness even before she exhibited symptoms?

Her campaign team said she had been “overheated” but was now feeling “much better”.

Mrs Clinton’s diagnosis came three days before today’s medical episode, Dr Bardack said.

Asked last week if she was concerned about “conspiracy theories” related to her health, Clinton said she wasn’t.

Now Clinton is sure to face new questions about whether she’s physically fit for the presidency.

Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson, who is not a doctor, last month diagnosed Clinton with dysphasia, a disorder that impairs speech and comprehension.

The incident comes after earlier this month Clinton had a coughing fit at a campaign rally. She can make her doctors available for briefings.

Democratic National Committee interim chair Donna Brazile wished Clinton “a speedy recovery”, adding that “I look forward to seeing her back out on the campaign trail and continuing on the path to victory”.

Dogged by Republican claims of health issues and caught on video staggering into a auto at the 9/11 memorial, Clinton emerged from her daughter Chelsea’s NYC apartment later this morning, telling cordoned off media that she was “feeling great”. In recent weeks, Trump and Republicans have sought to cast doubts about Clinton’s fitness for office.

Based on the available information, he said, “this should not in any way impede her function going forward”.

On Friday, Clinton told donors that “half” of rival Donald Trump’s supporters are in a “basket of deplorables” – a comment that drew sharp criticism from Republicans.

Clinton arrived at the event at around 8 a.m. and left at around 9:30 a.m.

Trump has also been under pressure to release detailed information on his health and medical history.

The source told USA media said that the 68-year-old was “clearly having some type of medical episode” and was forced to make an “unexpected early departure”, having to be helped into a van by her protective detail.
