The polls indicate a tight race nationally and in the key battleground states, with 54 days to election day.

It’s her first public appearance since Sunday, when she abruptly left a 9/11 memorial service in NY after feeling becoming dizzy and dehydrated. “I’m not great at taking it easy under even normal circumstances, but with just two months until Election Day, sitting at home was pretty much the last place I wanted to be”, Clinton said.

“This is where bigotry leads, and we can’t afford it, not here or anywhere else”, Clinton said.

“Her remarks will focus on what has been at the core of who Hillary Clinton is as a person and the mission of her campaign – how we lift up our children and families and make sure that every child has the chance to live up to their God given potential”, said Ms Palmieri, ahead of the comeback speech.

With the candidates’ health suddenly at the forefront of the campaign, Clinton looked to head off further scrutiny by releasing new medical records Wednesday indicating that she was “fit to serve” as president.

She takes thyroid and allergy medicines and the blood thinner Coumadin, prescribed as a preventative after she suffered a blood clot resulting from a 2012 concussion. And it led to an acknowledgment by the Clinton campaign that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia two days earlier.

Seeking to turn the page after her poorly handled bout with pneumonia, Clinton was headed to North Carolina and then the U.S. capital Washington as she resumed the White House race after a three-day convalescence.

Today, she said her time away helped her reconnect to why she is running.

The same poll had Trump leading Clinton by just half a percentage point on August 20: 44.2 to 43.6 percent.

The doctors for both Trump and Clinton said each is medically suited to occupy the Oval Office.

Donald Trump Jr. says his father recognizes that President Barack Obama was born in the United States, but he doesn’t know if his father will say so himself.

The letter was issued by Trump’s long-time personal physician Dr. Harold Bornstein, of Lennox Hill Hospital, who performed the candidate’s physical exam last week, NBC News has confirmed.

DONALD TRUMP: Over the next 10 years, our economic team estimates that, under our plan, the economy will average 3.5 percent growth and created a total of 25 million new jobs.
