Hillary Clinton’s “Nightmare Scenario” Unfolding with Sanders Surge — NBC’s Andrea Mitchell
A top ally to Hillary Clinton’s campaign said Thursday that a new ad by rival Bernie Sanders presents a “bizarre” image of America, focused on white voters.

In addition to his comments on Clinton’s evaporating inevitability, he points out the big-money speaking fees Clinton received from Goldman Sachs, the Wall Street giant that’s a frequent villain in Sanders’ speeches.
Clinton began her remarks here by stressing that, compared to the candidates on the Republican side, she and Sanders disagree on relatively little.
“I’ve got to tell you, I was somewhat confused when Sen”. “But we have different records and different ideas about how to drive progress”, she said.
“Really Senator Sanders?” Clinton tweeted, citing the Twitter handles for Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Campaign.
Her pitch made sense to Jim Bonney, 63, of West Des Moines, who plans to caucus for her. Top Clinton and Sanders aides both expressed surprise at the numbers.
During Sunday’s Democratic debate, Spicer tweeted “feelthebern” and later did the Twitter version of a forehead slap when Sanders spoke of normalizing relations with Iran.
She also attacked his experience and fitness to lead the country, criticizing his suggestion that the US should warm its relationship with Iran. That is like asking an arsonist to be the firefighter.
FiveThirtyEight, which utilizes factors beyond polls in its “polls-plus” predictions, gives Hillary Clinton an 83 percent chance to take the state, with Sanders at 17 percent and O’Malley at less than 1 percent.
New Hampshire, once considered a toss-up state, went twice for President Barack Obama – he beat Mitt Romney by 6 points in 2012 and John McCain by 9 points in 2008.
“New Hampshire voters typically decide who they will vote for in the last weeks, or days of the campaign and it is no surprise that many voters have not firmly decided who they will support in 2016”, it stated. It comes ahead of the Iowa caucus in February – the candidates’ first electoral test.
In Iowa, where Clinton once held a commanding lead against Sanders, some polls show that the two are almost tied.
Palmieri’s statement noted other instances when Republicans have sought to bolster Sanders, or in the case of Republican National Committee spokesman Sean Spicer, acknowledge the goal.
“I can’t do any of this alone”. “He’s been in Congress, he’s been elected to office a lot longer than I have”.
“I have had a few hard times in my own life and I doubt there is anybody who hasn’t had their share”, Clinton said.
The Clinton campaign immediately hit back that the inspector general’s report was just an attempt to hurt her presidential campaign.
The latest polls may be cause for concern but Hillary Clinton is planning on going forward “with confidence” and she’s enlisted some high-wattage help along the way.
Dan Reeder, a professor from Oklahoma who drove 8 hours to catch Clinton’s event, said he, too, was struck by her tone. “But normal relations with Iran right now?”

Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ campaign manager, says that the result of the poll reflects how Sanders gained support through the months. I don’t think this reflects well on us.
