Hillary Clinton’s Reaction to Chelsea’s DNC Speech Is Perfect
Chelsea Clinton and along with her husband Marc Mezvinsky listen to speakers on the second day of the Democratic National Convention at the Wells Fargo Center, July 26, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden had also given speeches supporting Clinton, casting her as qualified for the Oval Office because of her experience as a former secretary of state, USA senator and first lady, but also because of her loyalty and passion. “Every soccer game. Every softball game”.
Chelsea Clinton went on to introduce “my mother, my hero and our next president” for a primetime speech – the high point of the four-day convention. “That feeling of being valued and loved, that’s what my mom wants for every child”. Still, she added, “There’s certainly tremendous intensity around both of our lives right now”.
As a grandmother, Hillary is just as present. Citing the fact that the nominee’s daughter said Donald Trump “would fight for equal pay for equal work” and “focus on making quality child care affordable and accessible for all”, Leive asked Clinton, “If you got to ask her a question about how her father would do that, what would it be?”
“My mother can be about to give a speech or walk onstage for a debate”. His eldest daughter Ivanka spoke at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last week, depicting the NY businessman as “color-blind and gender-neutral” to counter critics who have called his comments about immigrants and women bigoted and callous.
“I am so grateful to be her daughter”.
First, she worked for the consulting firm McKinsey & Co. for three years and went to Wall Street for another three years to work for a hedge fund. She has never uttered word about it – except to say “it’s none of your business” – but it is hard to imagine that it hasn’t profoundly shaped the woman she has become.
She described her mother as “wonderful” and “hilarious”, and recounted stories about her mother reading “Goodnight Moon” to her. I’m voting for the Progressive who will protect our planet from climate change, who will reform our criminal justice system, who knows that women’s rights are human rights, and who knows that LGBT rights are human rights. But now she’s embraced the role as a surrogate for her mother, taking on a major part in her family’s foundation.
The former first lady stayed backstage during the moving address. She has been active in the campaign, as with her mother’s past campaigns. “So proud”, the caption read.
By reaching out to Republicans – as the campaign did at the Democratic National Convention this week and will do in the coming days – Clinton’s team are also looking to shore up support with Democrats.
“I’m here as a proud American, a proud Democrat, a proud mother, and a very, very proud daughter”, Chelsea Clinton began in her endorsement of her mother. “I am an only child – a unique position that I have and I hope that people understand even more when I’m done than when I started about why I love her so much and admire her so much”.

“O$3 ne of our core values in this country is that we are the land of equal opportunity, but when equal hasn’t yet included gender, there is a fundamental challenge there that, I believe, having our first woman president- whenever that is – will help resolve”, Chelsea told ELLE magazine a year ago. She is the most balanced and wisest candidate to handle the violence in this country.
