Hillary Clinton’s Scranton, Pennsylvania Rally: The Photos You Need to See
In a stinging pre-rebuttal to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s major speech Monday on national security and defeating ISIS, Vice President Joe Biden declared that the billionaire businessman has “no clue” how to lead the country and should never be entrusted with the nuclear weapon codes. “It’s a recipe for playing into the hands of terrorists and their propaganda”, Biden added.

Trump last week announced his economic plan, and Clinton described it as “worse than I’d ever imagined”. “They offer childcare for guests, not workers”.
“Like so much of what he says, it’s not true”, Clinton said, evoking a host of boos from the crowd. If Trump had been president, Biden says he would have urged his late son, Beau, not to serve in the military because Trump would not be a trustworthy leader.
People say he lacks good temperament. “No matter where you were raised, how could there be pleasure in division and you’re fired?” Biden was born in Scranton and spent his early years there before moving to Delaware. Zemek said she believes Clinton, who was instrumental in starting healthcare programs for children, will see that those benefits are continued for her daughter.
The pair showered the crowd with local references, naming streets and churches and evoking images of blue collar coal miners carrying lunch boxes.
Clinton said Trump had been “all over the place” on foreign policy and had suggested sending in ground troops to fight the Islamic State group.
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Vice-President Joe Biden took a stroll down memory lane when they made a campaign stop in the city of Scranton on Monday.
Ms Clinton said at the rally that her rival was “unqualified and unfit” to serve as the next president. Men back Trump 49-44 percent. Carol Boone, 67, of East Stroudsburg, made the trip because Clinton is a “better choice than the other guy”.
“Trump has shown us that he is an unkind person”, she said.
She smiled as some in the audience booed the mention of the businessman’s name.
The rally ended at 2:02 p.m., with Clinton and Biden attending a fundraising event in Scranton before a drive through Biden’s childhood neighborhood. He’s “courted” white working-class voters “with success in his more than four decades in politics”, the Los Angeles Times writes, adding that the vice president targeted these voters during President Obama’s two races. She said often the secret is that Trump has no plan.
Scranton is sure win for Democrats, according to many political analysts, but it’s also the type of blue-collar town where Trump typically does well.
Now that Trump’s public self-immolations have given Clinton a more comfortable advantage, especially in Pennsylvania, she is increasingly seeking the votes of independents and Republicans uneasy with the former reality TV star.

“He said in certain areas of Pennsylvania”, she said. “I really mean it”. The initial appearance was postponed after the fatal shooting of five police officers in Dallas. The vice president is expected to campaign on Clinton’s behalf in several battleground states where he remains popular, including Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio and Florida.
