Hillary Clinton Says No Thanks to Fox News Debate With Bernie Sanders
Clinton’s decision was quickly criticized by Sanders. In recent weeks, Trump has done a good job of gathering his base while Clinton is still in a hotly contested battle with Bernie Sanders – which is rapidly dividing the Democrat party. Only three debates have been held so far, with the latest being held in NY in April.

“I think if they make the right choice and open the doors to working-class people and young people and create the kind of dynamism that the Democratic Party needs, it’s going to be messy”, Sanders said.
Sanders said in a statement Monday that he was “disappointed but not surprised by Secretary Clinton’s unwillingness to debate before the largest and most important primary in the presidential nominating process”.
In other words, when Trump “goes there” on the Clinton’s well-documented past, he might be doing some damage to Clinton, but what he is really doing is buying time. Political considerations aside, Clinton’s appearances on the network are few and far between.
The Chronicle, as the Sanders campaign noted last week, also expressed interest in co-hosting a debate.
Despite high negatives on both sides, Wilson says both parties appear to be falling in line behind the likely nominees.
The campaign has become increasingly nasty as Mr Trump’s latest shot was to air an Instagram video that features the voices of two women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault, and that his wife was an “enabler” of Mr Clinton’s behaviour.
Surrogates for Hillary Clinton’s campaign are holding events, press calls and issuing statements in a number of battleground states on Tuesday to highlight comments Donald Trump previously made in which he rooted for the housing market to collapse, a Clinton campaign official confirmed to CBS News. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson garnered 10 percent support, and 17 percent of respondents said they were undecided. Time will tell if any do.
“Nobody in this country and maybe in the history of this country politically was worse than Bill Clinton with women”, Trump said earlier this month, adding Hillary Clinton was equally liable for his husband’s actions. When she was asked about it on Sunday, she told NBC that she had not thought about it.

Sanders has repeatedly said Clinton is beholden to Wall Street and corporate donors.
