Hillary Clinton Says Questions About Foreign Donors ‘Not Necessarily Legitimate’

Clinton reiterated that has a deep conviction about the work done by the Clinton Foundation, created by her husband in 2001, and which is under the spotlight due to allegations that the foundation had privileged access to the State Department when she headed the federal agency between 2009 and 2013. “We’re not going to let it happen to our country”.

The comment marked Trump’s bluntest and most provocative characterization yet of Clinton in his attacks accusing the Democratic nominee of treating minorities, and black people in particular, simply as votes to be counted. “But, short of any scandals by the Clintons, I just don’t see any way that Trump catches up”. “We have over 60 people here making shirts labelled ‘Made in America, ‘ but Donald Trump’s brand of shirts come from China, his suits from Mexico, his coats from India”.

Trump last week accused Clinton of “bigotry” – a term Clinton has occasionally invoked on the trail as well to criticize Trump – but ratcheted up that language Wednesday night.

“Well, I’m going to announce something over the next two weeks, but it’s going to be a very firm policy”, Trump told WPEC, a CBS affiliate in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“Without the immigration issue, the words “President Trump” would still be a “Simpsons” joke, ‘ ” Krikorian said. “I want you to hear these words, and remember these words: Shame on you”.

“And that’s why the foundation has laid out additional unprecedented steps that it would take if I am elected”, she added.

Clinton did not address any of the accusations about her family foundation in her remarks. As explained by NBC News, it is a “blanket term for a loose gathering of conservatives primarily based online that can include everyone from critics of so-called “political correctness” on college campuses to hardcore white supremacists and neo-Nazis”.

Trump met Thursday with members of a new Republican Party initiative meant to train young – and largely minority – volunteers to drive up voter turnout among their peers. And Trump has long offended many black voters, such as by pushing falsehoods and stereotypes against black Americans.

Cornell William Brooks, president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, told C-SPAN’s “Newsmakers” Thursday that Trump has not reached out to the organization for any reason.

The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza thinks that the lack of a true press conference-it’s been 263 days-and the chance that there may not be one before the election, won’t cost Hillary Clinton the White House.
