Hillary Clinton to Speak as Grand Finale of the Democratic Convention
In his speech to Democrats in Philadelphia, Obama heaped praise on Clinton, his former secretary of state.

Clinton, after her nomination on Tuesday, appeared in a video noting the historic moment.
In the chart below, Trump’s numbers are on the left and Clinton’s are on the right. “And I watch my daughters, two lovely and intelligent black young women, playing with their dogs on the White House lawn”, Obama said.
Before the campaign, she was a principal architect of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal, while Trump has consistently opposed the deal. And preceding Clinton Thursday were speeches from former and current Republicans who said it was Clinton who would be the better one to advance the nation’s interests. There were persistent but scattered calls of “No more war”, but the crowd drowned them out with chants of “Hill-a-ry” and “U-S-A!”
The performances come in stark contrast to the previous week’s Republican convention, which had few famous entertainers despite billionaire nominee Donald Trump’s boast that he would bring some showbiz pizzazz. “Happy for boys and men, too, because when any barrier falls in America, for anyone, it clears the way for everyone”, she continued.
“It is inconceivable to me that any presidential candidate would be that irresponsible”, Panetta said, describing Trump as “unstable”. “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons”, she said.
She said President Franklin Roosevelt’s famous words are the ideal rebuke: “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself”.
“Tonight, the Democrats offered only more rewards for the rich, powerful and well-connected, and more angry, demeaning, sniping attacks against all decent Americans who want change for their families”, he said.
Donald Trump Jr. claimed on social media that that a line from his speech to the Republican Convention – “that’s not the America I know” – was pinched by the US President.
Punching at Trump’s campaign slogan, Obama insisted “America is already great. Many of her statements were lies and fabrications!”
Clinton asked whether Trump would stay true to the phrase on the country’s seal – “E Pluribus Unum”, or out of many, we are one.
In her convention-closing speech Thursday night, Clinton admitted she wasn’t flawless.
“And I want history to be made when she becomes president of the United States”, he said.

“Hillary Clinton knows how to fight back against unsafe, loud-mouthed bullies”, said Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren. America isn’t about “Yes, she will, ‘ it’s about ‘Yes, we can.'” At the end of his speech, Obama mused on the United States, speaking fondly of multiculturalism and promising a nation that is strong enough to take on any struggle that might face it. He spoke of the American people as the force that gave him strength in hard times, and implored them to throw their support behind Clinton to continue his legacy.
