Forty-six percent of Republican voters think that Republicans are most likely to win the election with Trump at the top of the ticket, compared with 50 percent who think the chances would be better with another candidate.
Chelsea Clinton (35) and her father have largely stayed off the campaign trail since Hillary Clinton launched her Democratic bid for the presidency in April.
Democratic Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton responded to Donald Trump’s latest insults against her by telling the Des Moines Register that nothing really surprises her anymore about the Republican front-runner. “When I said Hillary got “Scholonged” that meant beaten badly”.
Hillary said “I really deplore the tone and inflammatory rhetoric of his campaign”.
Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, said about Trump in a conference call Monday: “He’s a bully, and bullies need to be stood up to, and that’s why we made the decision to go hard at his rhetoric”.
Such snapshot moments aren’t as reliable as the larger picture, though, since it’s not clear how many Democrats in the network’s polling sample actually saw the debate.
Then, with the partisan crowd cheering him on, he turned to an incident last Saturday when Mrs Clinton returned late to a televised debate after a bathroom break.
And she’s damn good at it, thank you very much. “That has been our plan from day one”.
But, “Donald Trump is not among them”, RedState pointed out. “We are totally focused on this primary right now”, said campaign manager Robby Mook.
Clinton said she does not respond to the candidate personally “because he thrives on that kind of exchange”.
Mitt Romney “choked” in losing to Barack Obama in 2012. “I know where she went and it’s disgusting”, The Donald said afterward. “It’s going to help propel our nominee to the White House”.
Trump, the 69-year-old New York-based real estate tycoon, has a support of 39% of the Republican and Republican leaning voters, according to the CNN/ORC poll. “He heats things up more and that’s not only outrageous but it’s unsafe”. “And he has to keep sort of upping the stakes and going even further”.
The just concluded CNN/ORC poll, out Wednesday, reveals the lead of Hilary Clinton over her primary rivals is even stronger following her performance during Saturday’s Democratic debate.

Her campaign has been able to use the lull to build up its operation, organize key states, promote celebrity endorsements and roll out foreign policy initiatives and positions on infrastructure, manufacturing and taxes. She was late getting back to her podium.
