Hillary Clinton wants to make curing Alzheimer’s major issue for ones at
Taking the battle against Alzheimer’s disease to a new level, the Democratic presidential candidate on Tuesday announced a proposal to increase the funds for research to counter Alzheimer’s and other related disorders and also to find a cure for the disease by the year 2025.

Clinton will spend Tuesday campaigning in Iowa, her last day on the trail before spending Christmas in NY. A total of over 5 million men and women are living with Alzheimer’s while a total of more 15 million of men and women are caring for people with the disease. Alzheimer’s Research UK is the country’s leading dementia research charity, funding more than £26 million (RM166.8 million) of pioneering biomedical research across the UK and the world.
Clinton herself was scheduled to discuss the plan later Tuesday at an event in Iowa.
Alzheimer’s disease is characterised by the build-up of two hallmark proteins called amyloid and tau in the brain.
Clinton, who aides said consulted with leading physicians and scientists to develop the plan, will set a goal of making a cure of Alzheimer’s a reality by 2025.
“The day of reckoning is coming for Clinton to disclose how she will pay for her enormous tab”, says the Republican National Committee.
Most of the ad actually refers to a previously released Clinton proposal to help caregivers, which includes a tax break to help people with the costs of caring for aging parents and a program to give them temporary relief from the burdens. On Monday, Clinton held a conference call with researchers where she underscored the urgency of raising the disease’s profile. Advances in research of the disease have led to a number of discoveries in recent years, including the development of a new drug that could block a protein known to be associated with progression of Alzheimer’s.
One million Americans suffer from Parkinson’s disease and 4% of them were diagnosed before turning 50 years old. Latino people are one and a half times as likely as whites to have Alzheimer’s.

Since Hillary Clinton will triple the Alzheimer research funding, we’ll need to worry less that our closed ones or even us will get the disease.
