Hillary Clinton: We’re in a “strong position” despite tightening polls
United States presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on Wednesday moved to show their medical fitness for the White House as Clinton released a letter from her doctor declaring her fit for the presidency and Trump taped a TV-segment about his well-being. The RealClearPolitics polling average, without the latest Fox poll added to the fray, had Clinton up on Trump by just 1.8 points in a two-way race Thursday.

“I have a great deal of respect for Colin Powell, and I have a lot of sympathy for anyone whose emails become public”, Clinton said.
“I tried to power through it but even I have to admit, some rest would do me good”, Clinton said during a rally in North Carolina. Both candidates’ physicians declared them fit to serve as president.
Wednesday, a letter from Dr. Lisa Bardack, MD, was released to the public by the campaign.
Clinton, 68, fell ill during a 9/11 memorial ceremony in NY on Sunday and was forced to leave.
Clinton has since expressed regret for her “deplorables” comment, though Trump has called on her to outright retract it.
The recent surveys come as Clinton grapples with new controversies on two fronts: Her comment at a Friday fundraiser that half of Trump’s backers are in a “basket of deplorables”, and her campaign’s handling of a health scare on Sunday during a 15th anniversary ceremony honoring victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
“Her remarks will focus on what has been at the core of who Hillary Clinton is as a person and the mission of her campaign – how we lift up our children and families and make sure that every child has the chance to live up to their God given potential”, said Ms Palmieri, ahead of the comeback speech.
Bardack said Clinton is up to date on all vaccines, including two given to help prevent pneumonia – Prevnar and Pneumovax.
In an August poll for The Detroit Free Press and WXYZ-TV, Clinton was the favorite among African-Americans with 85 percent to Trump’s two percent. She takes blood thinners and thyroid medication.
The letter from Clinton’s doctor made no mention of her weight, a key part of any medical exam, nor did a similar letter released past year.
On Thursday, Donald Trump released a letter from his doctor saying he is in “excellent physical health”. The 70-year-old has blood pressure of 116 over 70 and his total cholesterol is 169, his doctor says.

Clinton running mate Tim Kaine also released a letter from his doctor, Brian Monahan, the attending physician of Congress. “She was a nervous mess”, Trump said.
