But now it appears he’s getting a taste of his own medicine – from Hillary Clinton.

“Closing out this race with a win in the nation’s biggest state, I think would really help her momentum”, he said.

And just as the Republicans did at their convention two weeks ago, Democrats are seeing some battles because of the hotly contested presidential race.

With mail-in voting beginning on Monday, Clinton spent Thursday campaigning in Los Angeles, where she also was trailed by left-leaning protesters. “I think we’ve got some more good victories coming – so we are in this race until the very last vote is cast”.

Based on primaries and caucuses to date, Clinton now has 1,702 delegates while Sanders has 1,411 — or a lead of 291 delegates, according to the AP count.

The Democratic Party chairperson and vice-chairperson, who were uncommitted superdelegates previously, backed Clinton following the caucus results, as a result of which Clinton got the support of all five Guam superdelegates.

Meanwhile, Mali Kigasari, an Oakland resident and Clinton supporter, arrived too late to enter the auditorium and exchanged words with Sanders fans whose chants kept her from hearing Clinton speak. “This is not a reality show”, and candidates need to show they have the qualities to lead the world’s strongest nation. Although Sanders was victorious on Tuesday in the in primary, raising his pledged delegate count to 1409, Clinton had 1699 after Tuesday’s vote plus many more of the so-called super delegates, who are party officials free to vote for whomever they chose. “I think that’s why we’re seeing her out here”.

“I know that Donald Trump is staying up nights worrying about Bernie Sanders”, he said sarcastically. Campaigning recently in California, she argued that her advantage over Sanders far outpaces the deficit she faced against Barack Obama in the 2008 primaries.

But Sanders won an upset victory over her in IN last Tuesday.

She also claimed that she was the “only candidate on either side who (promised to) not raise middle class taxes, period”. She said she “never received anything”, not even an email from the Sanders campaign. Still, Trump assured the thousands gathered that “we’re going to be a unified party”. “Just remember this”, he said. Progressive Oregon is essentially “Sanders Country” and could hand him a Washington-sized landslide.

Sanders has already influenced the party’s convention and its platform, and has forced Clinton to leave her more moderate comfort zones.

Then on May 5th, hundreds of young Hispanic Sanders supported gathered in East L.A.to protest Clinton, claiming she was closer to Trump than Sanders on many policy positions.
