Hillary Clinton wins SC
A Suffolk University poll released Sunday showed Clinton with a lead over Sanders, the Vermont senator who won a resounding victory in New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary election only to face a string of losses capped by a lopsided Clinton victory in SC. Although Sanders said before the primary that he had not given up on SC, he was never close to challenging Clinton in the state – which voters noticed, the L.A. Times reported. Clinton won the Nevada caucuses earlier this week by five percentage points.

African Americans represented 61 percent of the turnout in the sate’s Democratic presidential primary – up from 57 percent in 2008 – and Sanders lost the group 84 percent to 16 percent, according to NBC News exit polls. “Tomorrow, this race goes national”.
“It’s a 50-state election and we’re feeling very confident, actually”, she said.
“She focuses wholeheartedly on whatever contest is in front of her”, said communications director Jen Palmieiri.
“Despite what you hear, we don’t need to make America great again”, Clinton crowed.
“But we do need to make America whole again”, she added, laying out an argument against the divisive rhetoric favored by Mr Trump, who has antagonized immigrants, Muslims and campaign rivals.
“Together we can break down all the barriers holding our families and our country back”.
Clinton’s victory in SC is in large part a product of her success in courting African American voters, who made up some six in 10 of those casting ballots, according to exit polls.
One Clinton fundraiser in California said her recent victories in Nevada and SC have prompted more people to donate to her campaign and to attend Clinton events. “The last thing I am is a con man”. “This campaign is just beginning”.
SC gave Hillary Clinton a huge win over Bernie Sanders. While there are primaries all through the month of March, Super Tuesday is where campaigns on either side of the aisle can gain a lot of momentum toward winning the Democratic or Republican nomination. “Our grassroots political revolution is growing state by state, and we won’t stop now”, the 74-year-old Vermont Senator said. Eleven states, including six in the South with large minority populations where polls show Clinton with big leads, will vote in the Democratic nomination fight on Super Tuesday and four more over the next weekend.
Many black voters had been angered in 2008 by Ms Clinton, and her husband Bill Clinton, by what was seen as a graceless and dismissive response to Mr Obama’s win. Sanders has been campaigning hard in Minnesota and MA, in particular, states where his campaign thinks it has a good chance.
Sanders swiftly offered Clinton his congratulations, but also insisted he was in it for the long haul.
Six in 10 SC primary voters were women, and 8 in 10 of them said they voted for Clinton.
Clinton will pick up most of South Carolina’s delegates, widening her overall lead in AP’s count.
In a speech to supporters here, Clinton insisted that she was not assuming the nomination was already hers, promising she was “not taking anything and not taking anyone for granted”.
Sanders’ digital fundraising operation – buoyed by a strong email list, text pleas and a base of support built with young voters – has proven to be one of his campaign’s most effective tools. “Now it’s on to Super Tuesday”, Sanders said in a statement.
Sanders brought his populist message to the most liberal county in Texas.

Sanders made a real effort to compete here, hiring more than 200 paid canvassers and visiting the state on numerous occasions.
