Hillary: I Have Plenty of Accomplishments

At the end of a town hall on Thursday here in New Hampshire, Hillary Clinton initiated a “rapid-fire” round of questions, fielding one after the other in quick succession on a variety of topics: veterans, money in politics, nuclear weapons.

During her time as secretary of state, Clinton did oversee the review of the pipeline and the feeling was that she was pro-Keystone.

But Obama’s team has dragged its feet for years on whether to approve or bar the construction of the trans-national oil pipeline, which environmentalists vehemently oppose but is popular among the greater public.

“I want someone who is qualified”, she said.

A poll published on Wednesday found Mr Sanders has a lead in New Hampshire – 32 per cent to Mrs Clinton’s 29 per cent. “I thought I owed them that”, Clinton said.

Clinton was a prime target at the debate hosted by CNN at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.

While the Democratic race is between Clinton, Sanders and possibly Biden, the Republican contest is hotly contested with at least 11 serious challengers, including billionaire real estate magnate Donald Trump, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Sen.

WHAT SHE SAID: “I would conduct regular, aggressive military exercises in the Baltic states” as part of a new strategy to contain Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ambitions. In July, she declared she would “refrain from commenting [on Keystone] because I had a leading role in getting that process started and we have to let it run its course“.

Bill and Hillary Clinton each have written books and Chelsea said she greatly enjoyed working on “It’s Your World”.

In contrast, on August 28, Clinton said that Republicans wanted to “literally pull people out of their homes and their workplaces, round them up” and put illegals in “boxcars”.

As Clinton’s primary Democratic rival, Sanders has been drawing massive crowds – another 5,000 in South Carolina Thursday night, according to his campaign – but so far failed to secure the endorsement of a single Democratic member of the House or Senate, nor a sitting governor.

The former secretary of state emphasized that it is “important to sort out and actually figure out what is going on”.

Clinton, whose campaign has always tried to tamper any notions of “inevitability” that have often surrounded her, says she’s not surprised by Sanders’ surge – that she always expected a competitive primary. “I just want to get an answer”, Bash asked.
