On Sunday, Powell went a step further in an interview in People magazine and accused Clinton’s team of trying to “pin” her email problems on him and arguably raised a question of whether Clinton may be not been truthful to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
In that memo, Powell discussed using a private account for unclassified correspondence, but he never attempted anything like Clinton’s legally-dubious strategy of routing all personal and official correspondence, including classified documents, through an unsecured personal mail server. Clinton has been desperate for the moral cover of Powell for her email arrangement since the scandal broke past year. “I asked and she said she doesn’t want to commit to anything…”
