Historic 16-0 start achieved in blowout

In a conference call with worldwide media outlets on Thursday morning (Manila time), the transcript of which was given to Spin.ph, Curry didn’t deny that they have talked about wanting to break the historic 33-game winning streak achieved by the Wilt Chamberlain and Jerry West-led Los Angeles Lakers in 1972.

The former NBA MVP went 1-of-14 from the field against Golden State, tallying just four points in 25 minutes of action on court. Bryant can play less minutes and it would make a difference.

It is very impressive how the Warriors are doing this season, coming off a championship-winning year and accomplishing all of these feats without their original head coach Steve Kerr.

After a play in which Russell was required to rotate over and guard two players, because Bryant was slow to do so, Russell showed his displeasure, staring at Kobe then shrugging, with a defiant “What do you want from me”, look across his face. The Warriors are 16-0, while the Lakers are at the pit of the standings with a 2-12 record.

The Warriors extended their flawless start to the season with their biggest win so far, a 111-77 demolition of the hapless Lakers in a home win on Tuesday to improve to a record 16-0. And the last few days, he said he feels great.

“This (stuff) ain’t going to happen January 1, 2016”, Scott said. “I don’t think it’s a matter of him being exhausted, or his legs behind exhausted, I think it’s just a matter of his timing being a little off”.

“Maybe it is, but my opinion, watching him, I don’t think so”, Scott said. “They said, ‘Are you OK with that?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I am, are you guys OK with that?” recalled Scott, now in his second year coaching the team.

“In all honesty, it was tough, the shots that I take, pullup shots and jumpers and contested jumpers – those are tough shots to hit at 27”, Bryant said. It is a tragedy what they have done to him. The worse part of that is that they did not get anything from Black Mamba who shot 1/14 in the field. The shooter who doesn’t see anyone but himself.

But Bryant did not practice on Wednesday so he could rest and receive treatment, a customary routine to ensure he stays healthy after having three season-ending injuries in consecutive seasons. Young isn’t exactly mister efficient or the king of sharing the ball, but if Bryant is the mark for everyone to follow, it’s not surprising to see everyone, including Jordan Clarkson, playing hero-ball. Scott said he was continuing to work with the future Hall of Famer and wasn’t anxious about Bryant, who he expected to rediscover his shot as the year went on. He tells me when he is exhausted and he tells me when he’s not exhausted.
