Hlaudi Motsoeneng hijacks Mandoza funeral to shout at critics

This comes after Public Protector Thuli Madonsela found in a report released in February 2014 that Motsoeneng lied about his qualifications when he applied for the post of COO, that he hiked his salary from R1.5m to R2.4m in one year, and purged senior staff.

Motsoeneng is effectively without a job after the Supreme Court of Appeal earlier this week dismissed his application for leave to appeal a ruling by the High Court in Cape Town, which set aside his permanent appointment.

“I hear people saying Hlaudi is stressed”.

The broadcasting heavyweight said: “You can not decide for my future, I will decide”.

Opposition parties have said that the board was undermining the Supreme Court of Appeal’s ruling by trying to appoint Motsoeneng through the back door. Hlaudi is stress free. “How can you complain about yourselves?”

Despite the lies, communications minister Faith Muthambi hired Motsoeneng and has been defending his appointment ever since, even after the High Court ruled that her decision to hire him was “irrational”, adding that it should be set aside.

In fact – the SCA – told cloudy Hlaudi to voetsek from the SABC. If I was stressed, I wouldn’t be able to deliver what I want to deliver.

He did not know in what capacity Motsoeneng was still at the SABC, he said, and it would be unethical and unlawful if he endorsed a decision that was in contempt of a court decision.

The draft document in the newspaper’s possession read: “Since the next board meeting is scheduled for 28 October 2016 the board is requested to recommend that the honourable minister approves the appointment of Mr GH Motsoeneng as the acting COO for the period 19 September 2016 to 18 December 2016 on a round-robin basis”.

“Any acting position should be occupied by an SABC employee. and should he be appointed to any new post, that post has to be advertised. we are seeking legal advice on the matter”, Du Buisson said.

“When I was born I was an ordinary”.

Despite these adverse findings, Muthambi confirmed his permanent appointment by the board.

On May 23 this year, Judge Dennis Davis dismissed his application for leave to appeal. Motsoeneng then approached the SCA.
