HMD to bring Nokia 6 and three budget Android phones to Europe

For those who aren’t familiar with the original Nokia 3310, the device was first released back in 2000 and was one of the most successful phones ever released by Nokia at the time. Nokia, if a recent rumor is to be believed, is trying to use nostalgia to revive its famous N-series phones. Nearly 17 years later, the device is poised to make a comeback.

Mobile World Congress will be running from February 27 to March 2, and Business Insider will be attending and reporting live from Barcelona throughout.

That’s all fine and dandy but the real star of the show is actually a blast from the past – the Nokia 3310. The exact launch date may be unveiled at MWC by Suri. However, initial sales of the Nokia 6 seem to suggest that there is still a great demand for Nokia-branded devices. The E1 was rumored to come with a 5.2-inch or 5.3-inch display with HD resolution, 1.4GHz quad-core SD425 SoC, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of memory. With 64GB of storage on-board, you’ll never have to worry about reaching for that SD card. It also houses a fingerprint scanner, which is embedded in its home button. Its main camera will have 12 megapixels and the price of the device would be $199. For selfies, it comes with an 8MP snapper on the front, capable of 1080p video capture.

We are all excited for this year’s MWC as we will get to see some new Android powered Nokia smartphones.

The phone also comes with Dolby Atmos and dual amplifiers that claims to deliver over 6dB louder sound than a regular amp, giving higher voice, deeper bass and unmatched clarity. It is the first Android-based smartphone from Nokia.

We’re definitely going to pick one up. It also depends on when Foxconn, manufacturer of Nokia smartphones, sorts of its plan.
