Hokies: Virginia Tech vs North Carolina Tar Heels football game today
For the Virginia Tech Hokies, will probably be the last time in that Frank Beamer leads the Hokies out onto the sector at home.

The Virginia Tech Hokies are taking on the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday afternoon, and we all need to be honest with ourselves when we say that there might be more focus on the sideline today than there is on the field.
Elijah Hood turned two Virginia Tech turnovers into fourth quarter touchdowns as the Tar Heels opened a 24-10 lead, sending a few fans heading for the exits when Brewer was intercepted a second time.
North Carolina (17th, 9-1) has a clear and concise mission laid before them.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Tar Heels are 3.5-point road favorites versus the Hokies while the total now sits at 61.5 points.
If UNC can get past the Hokies, the Tar Heels will have secured their first-ever trip to the ACC title game (the Tar Heels have already defeated Pitt, the only team mathematically capable of tying UNC in the Coastal Division standings).

Virginia Tech (5-5) hasn’t had a season to remember thus far, but a win for coach Beamer’s final home game would make up for that. Beamer, at 276-138-4, is college football’s winningest active coach. During Beamer’s tenure with the Hokies, 20 FBS schools have burned through six or more head coaches. Williams completed 13-of-26 passes for 205 yards and also rushed for 74 yards on 18 carries, initiating scoring with an 18-yard run less than four minutes into the game.
