The end came in the second round, when Holm connected on a tremendous head kick that dropped Rousey to the ground.

ESPN reported after the fight that Rousey was transported the hospital. A multi-time world champion in boxing and kickboxing, Holm regularly landed her straight left, causing Rousey’s nose and lip to bleed.

Holm left the stage while Rousey was still being interviewed.

Undefeated through 12 UFC bouts, including seven successful title defences, the former judo Olympian says her fear of failure is bigger than anyone’s. “Obviously she’s completely bummed out and depressed”.

“I don’t even think I’ll look around”. And therefore she wants people to miss her for a while.

Rousey, who has become one of the most prominent US female athletes after winning her past three bouts in a combined 64 seconds, said she’d “rather die and go bankrupt than ever walk out of there not the victor”.

UFC 193 will take place in Melbourne, Australia.

White is hoping that the UFC can break their attendance record of 55,724 at UFC 193, with the Etihad Stadium capable of holding 70,000 fans. Maybe this fight will silence Joe Rogan’s complaints about the amount of talent in the women’s roster of the UFC! Her output increased in the third and fourth, and by the fifth round, Letourneau was clearly having trouble maintaining her attack.

All that in addition to the charismatic bantamweight champion’s laser-like focus on the task at hand gave her vast advantages as she faced Holm in Melbourne.

“They’re the scariest moments. I went high and got it”, she said. But hard as she tried, Holmes always managed to get away and keep the fight upright.

“And they can make a lot more money”.

“I would like to wait until UFC 200 to fight again”. “I just felt like, ‘How could I not do this with all that love?’ I had the best coaching from stand-up to grappling to wrestling”. “Holly was the right fight”.

Also featured on the card is strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk, a savage striker who is a quickly-rising star in her own right.

“This woman has four times more fights than Ronda does. She’s been a world champion”, he said.
