‘Hollywood Wives’ novelist Jackie Collins dies of breast cancer at age 77

A family statement released to People.com reads: “It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the death of our handsome , dynamic and one of a kind mother, Jackie Collins, who died of breast cancer today”.

Discussing her surprise, Hunniford said: “I never saw anything that spelt illness or you couldn’t believe that she would be that close to death and we thought that she was very thin in the face but she was saying LA people are on diets all the time”. It’s because of her big sister, in part, that jack kooe Collins became a Hollywood wild child.

Collins embraced Twitter in her later years, and loved the engagement with her over 150,000 followers. She went on to write more than 30 novels throughout her career, including 1981’s “Chances”, which introduced fans to her most famous character, Lucky Santangelo. The novelist’s beloved older sister, the actress Joan Collins, 82, only learned about her condition two weeks ago because, Jackie said “she didn’t want to be a burden”.

Although Collins was only a minor at the time of her affair, she said there was no accusations thrown at him of “sexually abusing” her. “The queen of the bongbusters …enjoyed every minute of it”, reports the Daily Mail.

Men wanted to sleep with her and women loved her as a friend.

Only a few days prior to her death, on September 14, Collins opened up about her battle with cancer and not letting it get in the way of how she wanted to live her life.

But in an interview with NPR, she said she always knew writing was her calling. She gained a tan and a Hollywood style, all fitted jackets, lipgloss and extravagant jewelry, but she kept much of the accent, the better to deliver her earthy laugh lines.

“Writing sex happens like it happens in life – organically.” .

“Barbara Cartland said to me, ‘Oh, Miss Collins, your books are filthy and disgusting and you are responsible for all the perverts in England, ‘ ” Collins told Porter Magazine in 2014.

A statement from Jackie’s family confirmed her passing on Sunday.

Collins was married to her second husband, Oscar Lerman, for more than 25 years until his death in 1992. As long as I have my family and my friends I’m happy.

She explained: “I was so shocked, that’s the thing that astonishes me”. I answer people’s questions. “She has written five novels since her diagnosis!”
