Holm-Rousey rematch not set in stone

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey of the United States holds an open workout for fans and media at Federation Square on November 12, 2015 in Melbourne, Australia.

Unfortunately for Lance Corporal Haschert it was Rousey’s boyfriend MMA fighter Travis Browne who was filmed dropping her off ahead of her date.

Prior to attending the ball, Rousey said she was motivated to go because it would keep her wallowing in self-pity. “I love everything you do and I think you are a phenomenal person”.

Just days ago Rousey said she wanted a rematch with Holm, and while the defending champion wants to fight earlier than July, she’s aware the decision isn’t really up to her. In a way, the promise she made to Haschert could be a blessing in disguise, something that could alleviate her depressed state.

“Honestly, I probably would stay on my couch crying and eating ice cream for like another month if he didn’t ask me to go”, reported WebProNews.

On Saturday TMZ cameras caught up with Rousey at the airport where she spoke glowingly of her date.

“Holly’s used to staying active”, Fresquez told the Times.

“After the fight, she never hesitated for a second whether or not she was going to attend”. “We’re from the old school, and we believe the No. 1 contender is there for a reason”.

Rousey hopes to be smiling again when she takes on Holm in a rematch as Dana White believes the two will once again cross paths inside the cage at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas.
