On her loss to Miesha Tate: “Live and learn”.

After losing to Tate, Holm wanted an immediate rematch, but was snubbed in favour of Nunes, who went on to beat Tate via submission in the first round of their bout at UFC 200 on July 9.

“I do feel like I can’t lose”, Holm said in a media scrum. I think that Edson will win by TKO in the third round, but i wouldn’t be surprised if Gilbert wins buy decision. “I want to keep pushing forward with it and doing well with it”.

She has shown that ability in the past.

White admitted the void Friday when asked who Holm would fight if she wins Saturday, as expected.

Holm and Shevchenko are headliners of the UFC Fight Night on Fox card.

“I just want to get through Saturday night because I can’t be looking past my opponent”, she said. Shevchenko’s coach, Pavel Fedotov, was shot during the armed robbery.

“He’s recuperating and it’s lucky for me that he is (well enough to) be in my corner”. “It was exactly in the middle of my training camp preparation. I hope everything turns out well and we’ll see what happens”.

“I don’t think a whole division should be based around one fighter, one fight, one moment”.

Holm, a former pro boxing champion, was leading on scorecards when she found herself on the canvas and beaten by Tate. Holm knows the importance of her fight against Valentina Shevchenko.

Holm has already been there once. And although many wonder if the 29-year-old crossover star will ditch her fight career altogether to concentrate on acting, Rousey has heavily hinted she wants back in. “You know I wouldn’t want it any other way. I feel like she is one of the toughest ones in the division and I know that I have my hands full for sure”.

“She’s no joke. She’s got a lot of experience in her standup”. This Valentina girl, she’s only had (two) fights into the UFC. Because If I knew that I needed the help, it would kind of be more of a mental thing, that I didn’t believe in myself and that’s what I needed to. “But it’s not because I didn’t take the fight with Ronda, it’s because I didn’t perform well when I fought Miesha”. “Just put in some hard work”.
