Holy ‘batarang,’ Batman! Man hurls throwing star at Seattle police

A man was arrested Monday on Capitol Hill after threatening a bouncer with a homemade spear and then throwing a “sharp, black Batman-style throwing star” at pursuing officers, police said.

The case was referred from the King County Prosecutor’s Office to Seattle Municipal Court, where he is charged with one count of property destruction and unlawful use of weapons to intimidate.

The man fled as officers arrived, leading to a chase.

According to the Seattle government website, the officers eventually managed to catch up with the 23-year-old suspect.

The unidentified 23-year-old man was arrested on a felony assault charge. Officers are asking that additional obstruction and weapons charges be added.
