Home NBA Oladipo: ‘No question’ NBA players will protest
The photo of a MA football player kneeling during the national anthem has people from across the state weighing in.

Kaepernick’s actions have generated controversy because a certain segment of the population believes protesting the anthem is a sign of disrespect to the country and members of the military.
But whether Shumpert actually kneels during the anthem, Kaepernick’s protest is clearly on the minds of National Basketball Association players.
“Whatever you believe, believe in to the utmost”. I do know it will be a process, and it is not something that will change overnight. “I think having these conversations helps everybody have a better understanding of where everybody is coming from”. “The players were moved to the field during the National Anthem because it was seen as a marketing strategy to make the players look more patriotic”.
Clearly, Kaepernick’s protest came during the dead of the National Basketball Association offseason, but given the recent history of protest by National Basketball Association players, Oladipo’s prediction doesn’t appear to be far-fetched.
Nancy Harms, a farmer in Iowa, told Reuters she strongly believed Kaepernick should stand for the anthem as someone “born and raised in this country”.
Even so, 64 percent of respondents said they felt the quarterback had the right to protest under the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech.
The $126 million back-up quarterback continues to get grilled – deservedly so – for his disrespectful and ill-informed stance against “racial oppression”, but he has a reliable ally in the Revolutionary Communist Party, which offered its full support this week.
“I don’t want to kneel forever. I feel like everyone should stand up for what they believe”. Teammate Eric Reid joined him during the final exhibition game when the two chose to kneel, instead of sit, in a move meant to show more respect to veterans.

Woods isn’t the only one to speak out against Kaepernick’s protest, which has since spread to other teams and players in the league. However if Shumpert does actually kneel during the anthem, it could inspire other players to follow suit.
