President Buhari assured members of the Board of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc that his administration will act swiftly to ensure that the Building Craft Training School and Skill Improvement Centre in Lagos are fully revamped, staffed and equipped to produce more skilled electricians, brick and block layers, carpenters, painters, welders, fabricators, plumbers and other artisans.

He has so far not announced which posts they will hold when they are formally sworn in, leaving a policy vacuum in Africa’s biggest economy.
Responding to questions from newsmen on the new ministers’ portfolio, Ngige, stated that it was not a problem if a minister had no portfolio in the administration of President Buhari.
Speaking to State House correspondents, one of the ministers-designate, Dr. Chris Ngige said he and his colleagues were ready to key into the President’s low profile government agenda, with a view to radically transform the nation’s economy within a short period of time.
While congratulating the appointees on their successful screening and confirmation by the Senate, President Buhari, however, asked them to count themselves privileged to be called for national service among millions of Nigerians.
“Diversification of the economy away from oil will be a major focus of this government”.
Labeled as a forum “unlocking opportunities for diversification”, the programme had listed several ministers to discuss investment opportunities such as farming.
Nigerian firms and foreign investors complain that they can not get dollars as the central bank has imposed currency controls to avoid another naira devaluation. The naira was officially devalued last November and underwent a de facto devaluation again in February.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to the proper education and training of Nigerian youth for the current demands of the labour market, the President said the Federal Government will act expeditiously to remove all impediments to the fulfilment of its promise of more jobs for unemployed Nigerians.
