2017 Honda Civic Hatchback comes to market next week with a beginning MSRP of $19,700 for the base model LX 6-speed manual transmission.
But for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, it is only standard for the EX, EX-L, and Sport Touring trims.
Available in 5 trim variants, all 2017 Civic Hatchbacks will sport Honda’s fuel injected, turbocharged 1.5 Liter VTEC 4 cylinder gasoline engines.
Although all version of the Civic Hatchback ship standard with Honda’s latest turbo-four, there are a few different tunes for the engine.
While the EPA has yet to release fuel-economy figures for the Civic hatch, Honda estimates the model will achieve 30 mpg city and 39 mpg highway with the manual transmission and 31/40 mpg with the CVT-2 mpg worse on the highway than a 2016 Honda Civic sedan equipped with the turbocharged engine. Sport and Sport Touring models are rated at 180 horsepower while all other trim levels are rated at 174 horsepower.
Honda’s Civic hatchback is returning to North America with a price tag under $20,000 – at least, in the U.S.
Up one trim level, the $21,300 Civic Sport ($22,100 for CVT) pushes its turbo mill a little bit further to 180hp and 177lb-ft torque. The Sport 6MT is good for 177 lb-ft of torque at 1,900rpm while Sport CVT and Sport Touring models are rated at 162 lb-ft of torque at 1,700rpm.

Keeping it simple, 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is front-wheel-drive, you won’t find an all-wheel-drive (AWD) option for Civic Hatchback.
