It was back in April at the NY Auto Show when Honda signaled the imminent arrival of the tenth generation Civic with a rather lovely coupe concept which you can now check out in a near-production guise. This indifference killed models like the Nissan Altima coupe and Toyota Solara, but Honda has bucked the trend with both the Civic and the larger Accord coupe.
Honda will reveal 2016 Civic Coupe next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The more hardcore Civic Type R will also be sold in the US for the first time, but probably won’t arrive here for awhile.
Honda’s all-new, 10th-generation Civic Sedan has just gone on sale and will soon be joined by its coupe counterpart. Honda promises a range of more than 300 miles (480 km) and a refueling time of approximately three minutes.
Honda The Civic Coupe features sporty performance, ride refinement, and cabin quietness to go along with its class-leading fuel efficiency and safety performance.
There’s still a few months left in “The Year of Honda”, and the Japanese automaker is looking to make the majority.
While the details are still scarce, the Civic Coupe is tipped to come out with two engine options to choose from.
The Clarity Fuel Cell comes to US shores following its world debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show in October.

A five-door hatch version for the U.S. market is expected to follow the coupe’s unveiling, but timing has yet to be confirmed. It will go on sale in the US next year as the second purpose-built fuel-cell vehicle offered to the public, competing with the Toyota Mirai.
