Coveted free-agent center Al Horford reached an agreement with the Boston Celtics on Saturday.
Magic: Bismack Biyombo is on his way to Orlando, agreeing to a four-year, $72 million deal, to form a menacing new frontcourt with Serge Ibaka.
The Celtics can still afford Durant, especially after letting Evan Turner walk to Portland.
Despite making it into the final three teams chasing four-time all-star Al Horford, the Wizards missed out on the versatile big man when he agreed to sign a four-year, $113 million max contract with the Boston Celtics. Adding both Durant and Horford would elevate Boston to immediate contender.
The Boston Celtics, who met with the Kevin Durant on Saturday, were able to convince Horford to sign with them. However, sources say the two parties were off by as little as million, swaying the 30-year-old All-Star to leave.
The Mavericks’ plan, first reported by ESPN, comes a day after their top two targets in free agency, Memphis guard Mike Conley and Miami centre Hassan Whiteside, made a decision to stay with their current teams. Those youngsters went wayward last season while Bryant concluded his farewell tour.
The Hawks signed Bazemore to a four-year deal worth $70 million. Good luck with the process.’ And things like that. Moore has spent the past two seasons playing a vital role off the Chicago Bulls bench. Horford, an unrestricted free agent, has played his entire nine-year career in the Atlanta Hawks, who drafted him third overall in 2007.
And with that trend, it seems that Howard has found the silence comforting, as reports revealed that he has gone back home to Georgia to join the Atlanta Hawks in the coming season. But he played 76 games the year before last and started all 82 last season. Once Durant chooses, it should lead to some other things, though numerous best free agents have already decided.
The Lakers signed four-year deals with guard Jordan Clarkson for $50 million and Russian center Timofey Mozgov for $64 million on Friday when free agency began.

Horford also painted his Twitter page and avatar in Celtics green and added “Boston Celtics star Forward/Center” to his Twitter bio. Johnson averaged 7.3 points and 6.4 rebounds, with 1.1 blocks playing 22.8 minutes per game past year. After that, Garnett – who had let the Timberwolves know he would not want a trade to Boston – relented and was sent to the Celtics.
