Horror Comic ‘Hack/Slash’ Now on Track to Become a TV Series
Tim Seeley’s acclaimed horror comic book series Hack/Slash is finally getting an adaptation. It has the names of directors Marcus Nispel (“Conan), Fredrik Bond (“Charlie Countryman”), and Todd Lincoln (“The Apparition”), as well as writers Justin Marks (2015 version of “The Jungle Book”) and Stephen Susco (“The Grudge”) attached to the project”.

However, the recent breakup of Relativity Media and its former television division appears to have given Hack/Slash a few new life. Relativity are apparently intending a series on the stronger side, taking The Walking Dead as a touchstone (although there’s obviously a bit of a Buffy vibe too), suggesting that a home that allows for a few extreme violence is in order.
Skip Woods, the action-loving scribe whose credits range from Swordfish to A Good Day to Die Hard tothe Hitman movies, is writing the script. However, the film was never put into fruition.
At the end of every horror movie, one girl always survives… in this case, Cassie Hack not only survives, she turns the tables by hunting and destroying the frightful slashers that would do harm to the innocent!
The Hack/Slash comics themselves are now on a publishing hiatus.
Aside from the announcement, the “Hack/Slash” TV series is on the lookout for directors to make ” a dark and gritty show in The Walking Dead mold”. But now, the emotionally damaged girl not only survived but has become a killer of killers.

Imagine the “slashers” as Jason from Friday the 13th or Michael Myers from Halloween – except in this story Cassie and Vlad are seeking them out and killing them.
