Hot and humid conditions prompts heat advisory
Another spell of extreme discomfort is in store for those who live around the major metro areas of the Northeast into the upcoming weekend, when hot temperatures and elevated humidity levels will combine to send the heat index into the danger zone.

The Granite State will be hit Thursday with a dose of intense heat and humidity.
Today: Partly sunny, humid, isolated t’storm possible.
Friday, we’ll start with a few peeks of sunshine. “With humidity factored in, the heat index is expected to rise to 100 degrees or hotter Thursday afternoon”.
Low temperatures will only drop to around 80 degrees in the I-95 corridor, from NY to Richmond. It will be another day with a heat index around 100 degrees during the afternoon.
A lingering low-pressure system over the Northeast could make for a sticky and soggy weekend as oppressive humidity gives way to heavy rain at times, forecasters said. There will be numerous shower and storm chances as high pressure off shore funnels moisture up along a stationary front to our west. It will remain very humid. The air temperatures won’t be as hot on Friday though – down to the low 90s.

Another wave of rain is possible Monday, especially during the morning, before a drying trend takes us into the middle of next week.
