Below are links to all of the emails and documents released Friday. With the entire country wondering how long this has been happening and just when did the water run brown, the emails have finally brought answers.

In tests, hundreds of Flint homes showed tap water lead levels higher than the acceptable 15 parts per billion level, according to data released by MI this week. Originally, it was stated that officials knew nothing about Flint’s water quality, but the email discovery proves otherwise.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder will testify on the Flint drinking water crisis at a House of Representatives oversight panel next month, aides for the committee said on Friday. “The state health department, including defendants, did not act sooner to alert the pubic of the Legionnaires’ epidemic because its experts had linked the cases to defendant McLaren and it was thought that the Legionnaires’ problem would be resolved if defendant McLaren took appropriate actions”, the complaint continues. First, America has approximately 8,000 cases of Legionnaires’ disease each year. Flint is majority African-American and more than 40 percent of its residents live in poverty.

The state says a National Guard medic assisting in responding to Flint’s crisis with lead-tainted water is credited with helping to save the life of a resident. The emails prove negligence, because despite knowledge of the lead water pipes, some officials emailed that the water was still safe to drink.

“Any information would be greatly appreciated, because it looks as if we will be starting the plant up tomorrow and are being pushed to start distributing water as soon as possible”, Glasgow wrote.

Mike Glasgow was laboratory and water quality supervisor on April 17, 2014, when he sent a message to officials with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.

Snyder turned down an invitation to testify before Congress a few days ago, saying he had to deliver a budget presentation to the state Legislature that day.

According to spokesman Dave Murray, Snyder called Rep. Jason Chaffetz, a Republican from Utah, and offered to travel to Washington D.C. for any future hearing. Here’s what the rep. had to say.
