The professed lack of interest from Ryan, R-Wis., came Friday in a letter from a lawyer representing him to the Federal Election Commission.

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan told reporters Thursday that he “laughed out loud” after Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump threatened him Wednesday.
But Ryan said he does not know Trump.
“He is flattered, but not interested”, Ryan spokeswoman AshLee Strong told Reuters.
Ryan is also planning to chat soon with Marco Rubio and John Kasich, the two other Republican candidates, Strong said.
Ryan said his role as House speaker and chairman of the Republican presidential nominating committee would be to provide a bold Republican policy platform capable of offering voters substance on important issues including jobs and the economy.
The Trump and Cruz campaigns did not immediately respond to requests from CNN to comment.
Ryan sternly rebuked Trump last week calling his then-equivocation about receiving support from white supremacists a “fundamental” break from conservative orthodoxy.

“Here’s my message to the Republican Party leaders: Focus more on listening to the American people and less on trying to stifle their voice”, Corker said in a statement.

Ryan says he doesn’t know Trump well but that would change should Trump become the nominee.
