Watching the first “Housefull” film six years ago, it would have been hard to imagine a movie with so much inanity could spawn not one, but two sequels and be called a film franchise. Not new to directing a multi starrer film, Sajid-Farhad land up doing a strictly average job with HOUSEFULL 3.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film is distributed by Eros International. What is good is that the start was uniform at multiplexes as well as single screens and the film picked up well during the latter shows. “It is not correct to classify”, Abhishek told reporters here at an event of Housefull 3 when asked to comment on the best comic actor in Bollywood. The movie is about a father Batook Patel (Boman Irani) having three daughters Gracy Patel (Jacqueline Fernandez), Sarah Patel (Nargis Fakhri) and Jenny Patel (Lisa Haydon). Boman Irani has been decent with his performance throughout the film. Housefull 3 is salvaged somewhat by a wacky climax in a warehouse of wax models. The house is a beauty in itself and it never lets you feel the deficiency of locations in the film. Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Reitesh Deshmukh try hard, a little too hard but to no avail. First of all, it has an ensemble cast of stars with a good fan following. Basically it’s a very serious problem but this is a comedy film so we had fun with it, ” he added. Amidst all this, enters the dreaded Mumbai don Urja Nagre (Jackie Shroff), who has a secret agenda of his own. A fake prediction – never mind what – by a fake astrologer (Chunky Pandey) leads the women to request their respective boyfriends to lie to their Dad.
The overall quality of the acting in Housefull 3 is only marginally better than the writing.

There are no catchy songs either in the film.
