The Cougars drove 69 yards in 2:05 and quarterback Greg Ward Jr. capped it with a 5-yard run of his own to put them up 21-7.

On their second drive of the third quarter, the Cougars got big plays from senior running back Kenneth Farrow to quickly move down the field, before Ward took it in from a few yards out for his third rushing touchdown of the game, making the lead 35-7. Teddy Veal caught four passes for 31 yards while Devon Breaux caught three passes for 88 yards.
