How Aussies can win A$2 billion
After the Internal Revenue Service takes approximately $343.7 million and the Oklahoma Tax Commission takes approximately $43.4 million, the victor of the lump sum in Oklahoma would still be able to take home a respectable $480.9 million. Officials said the victor – who was not identified – can claim the ticket at TIoga Downs in Nichols, or at any of the Lottery’s Customer Service centers statewide. Tomorrow night’s draw is the 20th Powerball drawing since the jackpot was last won.

As of Tuesday morning, the estimated Powerball jackpot is $1.5 billion – an estimated cash value of $930 million if the victor takes the immediate cash buyout. A person’s odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 292.2 million. Many assumed Saturday the winning $2 ticket would be drawn because of the feverish pitch to win the then $1 billion pot.
Anita Goodwin from Hammond, Ind, buys her Powerball lottery tickets for Saturday’s $900 million multi-state drawing January 8 in Chicago.
Six states have no lotteries of any kind. The prize doubles to $2 million if the player purchased a Power Play ticket, which costs an extra $1 but boosts non-jackpot prizes.
You kind of have to win twice.

Counting Sunday’s purchases, MI players already have bought almost 3.3 million tickets for Wednesday night’s drawing and a chance to win the world-record $1.4 billion jackpot. No one can sell lottery tickets by mail or over the Internet across state lines or the USA national border. Prior to this jackpot, the largest Powerball jackpot was $590.5 million won in Florida in May 2013. Feel free to help SOME, but talk to your accountant before you do anything and remember this, no one needs $1 million for anything. Tickets expire one year after the game’s drawing.
