How epic was the Seattle Seahawks’ collapse Sunday?

And they’d have to face a red hot Andy Dalton and the Bengals in Cincinnati.

Carroll confirmed what anyone who watched Sunday’s game would have assumed, which is that it was the best that Seattle’s embattled offensive line has played this season. “They put (cornerback Richard) Sherman on A.J”.

But Seattle quickly responded.

The Seahawks weren’t able to come away with the victory, but Rawls cemented himself not only as Lynch’s backup, but possibly as his eventual successor when the time comes. The Notre Dame product, a first-round pick by the Bengals in 2013, missed all but one game in 2014 because of a dislocated elbow. And a costly one at that.

Charles’ knee buckled as he tried to cut to the left in the third quarter of Kansas City’s 18-17 loss to the Chicago Bears. This was after four weeks of foes dinking and dunking the Seahawks with quick, underneath routes. And, it was Dalton who went 10 of 11 for 105 yards and a touchdown in the fourth quarter. But another Bennett penalty drove them back 51 yards.

Devonta Freeman’s 6-yard run in the final minute of regulation but Atlanta ahead 19-16, but Dustin Hopkins’ 52-yard field goal on the final play of regulation forced overtime.

Thomas got the Seahawks’ first interception of the season late in the first half, after a four-game drought that was the longest since Carroll became coach in 2010. Trailing 24-7 as the fourth quarter started, Dalton threw for a touchdown, ran for another and led the Bengals on a 69-yard drive without a timeout. It looked like things were rolling. The Bengals expect DE Michael Bennett to get fined for knocking Dalton down and diving on him during an interception return.

“There’s certain guys on the field people just feed off of and the quarterback is certainly on of those guys”, Nugent said. And again, Chancellor did not carry Eifert down the seam. With 2nd and goal from the 5 yard line, Dalton ran it in himself seeing an opening in Seattle’s defense. That’s not coincidence. Lining up in the I-formation and pounding the football downhill means taking Mohamed Sanu, Marvin Jones or maybe Tyler Eifert off the field. It resulted in a Wilson sack and another punt. And we will continue to run the ball. The referee said it was a called fair catch.

So what’s different about the 2015 version of the Bengals, which has powered the franchise to its first 5-0 record since 1988? After the Broncos went three-and-out, David Bruton Jr., recovered the fumbled punt return at the Oakland 27 with no time left.

Cincinnati trailed 10-7 at the half, and mostly had themselves to blame.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch (24) tries to break free from Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Perry (53) in the second quarter at Lambeau Field. Through it all, Dalton was getting banged around with both legal and illegal hits.

With a bit more composure and better decision-making, they might be undefeated, too.

It was all supposed to be different this time for the Cincinnati Bengals.

What seemed to be an impending loss for Cincinnati was clearly going to send them back to the “this was all just another mirage” pile, but instead has vaulted them to the top of the AFC.

Cardinals 42, Lions 17: DETROIT – Arizona’s Carson Palmer threw for three touchdowns, while Detroit’s Matthew Stafford was benched after throwing a third interception. When they could have been 3-2 and either second or tied for first in the division, they fall to 2-3 and things look a lot less clear for the season.
