How Family-Friendly is Captain America: Civil War?

Instead of averting that hard subject as superhero movies have often done in the past, Captain America: Civil War magnifies it and offers a thoughtful debate about the consequences of such destruction.

The tables have now turned.

Unfortunately, the entire set-up for the movie springboards heavily off of “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, which also means that elements of all the earlier films are at times directly contradicted by the current canon. Iron Man agrees, Cap disagrees.

I can sum up my experience in four words: Marvel’s best movie yet. And, hey, look at that, another hugely popular Marvel character could be making her debut in that one: Captain Marvel, known at one point as Ms. Marvel.

Harkened by many as the best output from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the film promises to show viewers a plethora of super hero fight scenes along with definitive changes to Captain America, Iron Man, and the rest of the Avengers.

Civil War added $29.6 million on Thursday to push its global to $291.2 million already. Captain America: Civil War opened in Argentina Thursday where it earned an estimated $0.7 million and in Russian Federation where it earned $2.6 million, pacing ahead of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Is this your favorite Marvel movie?

Along the way, Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), whom we met in his own very entertaining movie a year ago and Spider-Man (newcomer Tom Hollander) are called upon to join the various sides as the Avengers split into two camps.

Oh, yeah, speaking of Spider-Man, why are we getting another one? But the more movies Marvel makes, the further it digs into the vault of heroes.

“Civil War”, the latest superhero adventure from Disney’s Marvel Studios, is well on its way to a powerful opening weekend at the box office. This is about the time the repartee and punches kick in, which are usually the mainstay of a superhero movie, along with smart gadgets and weaponry-heavy action. It’s a Captain America movie that follows the narrative laid down by the first two, Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: Winter Soldier. I highly recommend that you see this film with anyone and everyone you can think to take. It had a lot of action-packed scenes and was full of suspense.
