How much does the EU really cost Britain?
“But what a contrast today between the Leave campaign with their fantasy politics, unworkable proposals that will increase immigration, take us out of the single market and cost us jobs, and the reality check in the real world of the highly respected OECD which points out the grim economic future for the United Kingdom outside the EU”.

Mr Gove said he hoped he will not follow in the footsteps of former Labour leader Ed Miliband, who tripped while leaving the stage in a live pre-election event a year ago.
They pointed to a report from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) that said Brexit would have a “strongly negative” impact on living standards.
Some 59% believed that leaving the European Union could make it more hard to successfully promote British music and artists in Europe, although 33% felt that it would not.
“Migration brings many benefits to Britain – culturally, socially and economically”, senior Leave campaigners Michael Gove, Boris Johnson, Priti Patel and Gisela Stuart said in a joint statement issued on Wednesday.
Setting out its plans, the Out campaign said there would be no change for Irish citizens, who can live and work in Britain, while those European Union citizens already lawfully resident in Britain could remain and be granted indefinite leave.
The online vote showed 47 per cent would like to leave while 44 per cent backed Mr Cameron’s “Remain” campaign. “But do I sit there thinking Britain would be better off if we left?”
Immigration has been one of the most important driving factors in the referendum campaign so far and with a matter of weeks to go until the nation goes to the polls, the Leave campaign has finally set out its vision for post-Brexit border control. “In our experience one of the key reasons that Britain is an attractive destination for inward overseas investment is because we are seen as a gateway to the European Single market of 500 million people”.
“How on Earth could you expect to get better than you’ve got at the moment without consequences such as accepting free movement of people?”
Mr Gove said that during his time in the Cabinet he “experienced frustration” at Britain’s “inability to refuse entry to those with a criminal record and even some who are suspected of terrorist links”.

“I think Labour needs to be a bit more bold, it needs to be a bit more fearless, in taking on the issues in working people’s minds, rather than keeping silent about them, and I think that’s what Labour’s done for too long”.
